Gosky 20-60 X 80 Porro Prism Spotting Scope

The Gosky 20-60 X 80 Porro Prism Spotting Scope is an excellent, nicely featured, well-built spotting scope. The image quality is impressive. It is crystal clear at 20x and the images are also quite clear at 60x when using the digi-adapter with a cell phone. Designed for any outdoor enthusiast, this waterproof spotting scope is perfect for bird watching, observing wildlife and scenery and any other outdoor activity.

One of its best features is the fully multi-coated 80mm green film objective lens, eyepiece and quality prism inside. The variable 20x to 60x magnification and dynamic lens focusing system makes it easy to zoom in on target. The scope’s durable Magnalium framework and shock-absorbing rubber armor make it able to withstand the toughest weather conditions. The eyepiece shield can be stretched out to protect it. It comes with a digiscoping cell phone adapter and a metal tablet tripod.

Overall it is an excellent piece of kit and probably the best value on the market at the moment.

Our review:

  • BK-7 prism for bright, clear, crisp viewing
  • Waterproof fogproof spotting scope with tripod, ideal for all-weather conditions.
  • Ergonomically designed and lightweight to enhance overall handling
  • Useful cell phone attachment
  • 45 degree eyepiece
  • Probably the best value, compared to more expensive scopes

  • Poorly written and brief manual
  • Loses some clarity at high powers, but this applies to most scopes
  • Attaching the cell phone digi-adapter can be fiddly at times
  • Tripod could be sturdier and better quality
